The Fashion Institute of Technology is a selective, State University of New York college of art and design, business and technology, offering more than forty programs leading to associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Four residence halls house approximately 2,300, and all full-time, degree-seeking students are eligible for on-campus residency. FIT offers lifetime placement to all of its alumni, with a graduation employment rate of nearly ninety percent.
